Sentence Types: Teaching Implications

Sentence variety:

Confident writers make use of a considerable variety of sentence types and structures, whereas writers with less assurance tend to have similar or repetitive sentence structures. Research has shown that A grade writers at GCSE use more simple sentences than C or F grade, and they also use irregular sentences for effect.
